Embarrassment at Shea

The Mets, needing a win more than ever, yielded seven runs to the Marlins in the top of the first inning. Tom Glavine just didn’t have it, and the Mets now find themselves in a huge hole, losing by seven runs before even coming to bat. Their Win Probability at this point is 6%. I’n surprised it’s that high, but, as Keith Hernandez just pointed out, they still have nine innings to go.

Dave Studeman was called a "national treasure" by Rob Neyer. Seriously. Follow his sporadic tweets @dastudes.
