The Seattle Post-Intelligencer has a great article on the Mariners’ woes this year. I found this article thanks to David Cameron of the U.S.S. Mariner, which isn’t a shabby source of baseball news either.
In reference to the article, David says, “…I’m surprised at how well the ‘seamhead’ opinions are being received in the media.” I hadn’t run across the word “seamhead” before, though it’s been used 601 times on the Internet, according to Google. Now there’s something else my friends (and enemies) can call me!
Meanwhile, Only Baseball Matter’s John Perricone has been expressing his outrage at the number of times Barry Bonds has been walked this year. John would like to see someone representing baseball speak out against this travesty of the game, and I agree.
