Play of the year

Only 40, but I think this might be not only the play of the day or year, but the best, most ridiculous play I’ve seen in my life. I can’t really think of one that compares. Still running it through in my mind in a vain attempt to come to terms with it…I guess I might compare it to Bird’s steal and immediate pass to new HOFer DJ (appropriately enough) vs. Detroit….

Except Bird got to look, at least for a second. Just an incredible play.

I’ve watched and coached and played the game for about 50 years now, and I’ve never seen a play like that. Thank you Mark Buehrle for adding another spec ial Opening Day memory.
