Segui says he has used human growth hormone since 2003. “I was under doctor’s prescription, doctor’s supervision,” he says. “It’s perfectly legal.”
He says he was off for a couple of months, and he could tell a dramatic difference. When asked, however, if it helped him as a baseball player, he says, “not at all.”
“Steroids need to be gone out of the game,” Segui says. “Everybody is talking about a level playing field; you have to get rid of that stuff.”
