This was hilarious.  I agree that a YouTube channel just showing a few top play clip, some interviews, maybe even if a full inning of a classic game (like the top of the 9th of the 2005 NLCS) would be a rousing success and would likely increase interest in baseball.

This Sully guy clearly doesn’t know anything.  He thinks they play major league baseball outside of the Eastern Time Zone.

Expecting Selig’s MLB to do anything without profit to either modernize how it publicizes itself or how it relates to its fans is akin to expecting that if you stand in a field looking up at Mars and wishing hard enough that you will be transported there.

What drive me bonkers, Jacob, is that what I am suggesting will make baseball more profitable!

They seem so obsessed with making their money in the Northeast that they aren’t making any headway getting new fans.

I’m with you Sully baseball needs to be kicked up a notch and brought to an exciting watchable level. Whats wrong with baseball being fun? I like fun, but frankly its so slow its far from being enjoyable. Marketing is key here if you want to make more money then start off by appealing to a younger crowd, someone that can actually play baseball!

I’m late to this party but this is a great piece of work, Sully.  First, nice catch comparing Matt Cain to the King of the Hill kid and your assessment of Brian Wilson being crazy (and possibly brilliant at the same time – I must find that Gimp interview) was genuinely hilarious.

Keep this up – you’re a natural.
