What’s a starter?

The Brewers are going to experiment with their starting pitchers at Single-A Brevard County. In order to get projected starters accustomed to pitching to the end of games, the relievers are going to start each game, with the starter relieving the reliever in the third or fourth inning. That way, once the projected starters have reached the majors and strengthened their arms, they may have a stronger mindset to pitch complete games.

I don’t know if this is a good idea or not, but I give a gold star to the Brewers for trying something new. (Hat tip: Shysterball)
