Baseball's All-time Best Sluggers

In 2005, Michael Schell wrote a book entitled Baseball's All-Time Best Sluggers, which THT reviewed at the time. It isn't a light read, but if you love baseball stats, analysis and history, it is filled with nuggets rarely seen in a meainstream baseball book. Schell uses a number of advanced math techniques to rank the best hitters of all time, culminating in a ranked list of 1,140 hitters whose stats have been reset into a neutral park between 1977 and 1992.

Up to now, you could only access that list by reading the Appendix in the book. But Schell and his publisher, Princeton University Press, have given THT permission to post his rankings on our website. Please use this handy form to delve into them.
