Am I the only one who was hoping they were rallying to win one for George Costanza?  I love you Body Suit Guy!

Craig, I notice you want a quiet day, blog-wise, by not posting this on the Blue Network and leaving it for mature audiences.
Everyone in Pittsburgh had no problem getting all bleary eyed for old man Rooney when the Steelers came back to their former stature.
So, in memory of capitalism I have some sentiment for George and have the opinion that without him baseball today would have degenerated to third-level sports (think US socer) status with a lot of “smaller market” teams having disappeared over the last 20 years. Sure, we use them as extended farm teams periodically (often) but a few more players make it to the big city.
6 Championships in 36 years is only .167, so, sure, do it for ol’ George

I guess when your a behemoth, you still need some motivation. Kinda like Shaq creating insults against himself to get up for a game.

While I am curious if George will come to NYC for any of the games, certainly I have trouble imagining anyone rallying to win one for an owner of his controversial reputation.  Especially since most guys in the Bronx have had nothing to do with him.

Never mind that at this point, if you need motivation other than “we’re the best!” you probably aren’t here anymore.

It’s being reported that he’ll be there for G1.  No mention about any of the others though.

If the Red Sox had made it, would they be winning one for Ted’s head?
